Taipei, Taiwan, May 1st, 2009 – XGI Technology Inc., a leading discrete GPU supplier for embedded market, today announced its latest cooperation with a leading ARM-based SOC provider.
Volari Z11 is the first 2D GPU in the world with PCI Express X1 interface. XGI has successfully completed the porting into ARM based system like Marvell’s Kirkwood. For the pass few years, we have been investing in graphics device driver for embedded systems which includes both x86 and non-x86 systems.
With clients demands for more in high performance and low power-consumption products in the embedded market, eInfochips has selected Marvell's Kirkwood with XGI's Volari Z11 as one of the solution for its industrial product line. With Volari Z11, the solution is capable in providing high performance 2D display up to 1920x1200 with low power consumption. The target applications for this solution are industrial computing, thin-clients, POS and KIOSK.
